What are change alerts?

Change alerts notify you when a new crawl differs materially from the previous baseline—new errors, URL churn, or security shifts.

Change alerts are automated notices when a new crawl diverges from the previous crawl baseline on your property. They help teams catch deploy regressions, accidental noindex changes, or sudden issue spikes without manually diffing exports.

What triggers alerts

Depending on your crawl data, alerts may cover:

  • Large increases in pages with verification issues
  • New non-200 or redirect patterns
  • Robots or security header regressions
  • Significant URL count changes

Each alert has a severity (critical, warning, info) so you can triage quickly.

How BearAudit uses it

See the Change alerts tab on Monitoring. Run crawls on a schedule (e.g. after releases) so baselines stay meaningful. For competitor properties, competitor-specific monitoring baselines are available on the Competitors page.
