Managing Multiple Properties in BearAudit
Add several sites, crawl them separately, and keep dashboards and verifications organized. How to add, switch, and work with multiple properties.
BearAudit lets you add more than one website—each as its own property. You can run separate crawls, see separate dashboards, and export data per property. Handy for agencies, multiple brands, or staging vs production.
Adding a property
- Use Add property (or the equivalent in the app menu).
- Enter a name (e.g. "Acme Blog") and the URL (e.g.
https://acme.com). - BearAudit validates the URL and fetches the favicon. The property appears in the sidebar and in the app menu.
You can add as many properties as you need. Each has its own crawl history, stored results, dashboard metrics, and verification list.
Switching between properties
- Sidebar — Click a property to open its dashboard and views.
- App menu — On macOS, the menu lists "Properties" with each property name; choosing one navigates to that property.
Crawl and export are always scoped to the current property. There's no cross-property crawl; each site is independent.
When to use multiple properties
- Multiple client sites — One property per client. Keep audits and exports separate.
- Staging vs production — Add both URLs as properties and compare dashboards after fixing issues on staging.
- Blog + main site — If they're on different domains or subdomains, separate properties keep data clear.
Deleting a property removes its stored scrape results and the property itself. Export any CSV or JSON you need before deleting.
